Here are a few suggestions to help reduce damaging pollutants inside your home:

1.     Remove shoes at the door.
2.     Replace furnace and air conditioner filters regularly.
3.     When dusting, use a wet cloth to avoid stirring up damaging dust and dirt or dust with the FILTERQUEEN Majestic.
4.     Run the FILTERQUEEN Defender room air cleaner to remove particles from the air before they settle.
5.     At least twice a week, use the FILTERQUEEN Majestic, an effective filtration system with continuous airflow.
6.     Furniture polish leaves behind a residue that can build up and dull furniture’s finish.
7.     Abrasive cleaners damage furnishing often beyond repair.
8.     Vacuums that are supposed to remove dust and dirt from carpets and
upholstery actually spew dust back into the air as they run. Beware of upright cleaners with beater bars. They can scratch hardwood and linoleum floors.

Quick Facts About Allergies and Asthma

17 million Americans, including 4.8 million children, suffer from asthma.

Since 1980, the number of reported cases of asthma has jumped 50%.

Asthma attacks account for 33% of all pediatric emergency room visits.

Asthma is the leading cause of school absenteeism, accounting for 10 million school days missed each year.

Allergies and Asthma

The Problem...
Airborne allergens, like dust mites, dirt, and irritants cause the body to react with congestion, difficulty breathing, and headaches. Prescribed medications only treat the symptoms of allergies and asthma linked to indoor pollution - they do nothing to help eliminate the source of the problem!

The Solution...
FilterQueen®'s Indoor Air Quality System may provide relief for asthma and allergy sufferers. The FilterQueen® IAQS helps remove common bacteria, pollen, mold, pet dander, cigarette smoke, and fumes from the air, allowing asthma and allergy sufferers to breathe freely again!

The Majestic removes dust and dirt from surfaces using its cyclonic action and patented filtration system before releasing cleaner, healthier air back into your environment.

The Defender works 24 hours a day to remove indoor air pollution from your home at higher filtration rates than those required in many hospitals without producing harmful ozone like many other filtration systems do.

We at Healthtek are committed to providing our clients with the highest-quality Indoor Air Quality System available. Our products have created healthy, comfortable, and beautiful indoor spaces for families around the world since 1928 by combining traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology. Not only do we stand behind our products, but we take pride in providing an ideal indoor air quality solution that helps people breathe better, sleep better, and feel better!

Healthtek also provides an outstanding career opportunity for its Associates. With Healthtek, your hard work will pay off. In addition to the financial benefits, you'll receive expert training and support throughout your growth with the company, participation in exciting contests and incentives developed specifically to reward your efforts, and the satisfaction in knowing that every customer you help will soon be leading a healthier lifestyle. Or maybe you dream about owning and running your own business. If you possess an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to succeed, Healthtek can help you develop the skills you'll need to own and manage your own FilterQueen® office.

Home Preservation

The Problem...
Much of the steady deterioration in homes is a result of dust and dirt that is not effectively removed.

The Solution...
The FILTERQUEEN Indoor Air Quality System will contribute tremendously to preserving the investment you have made in your home. Even a new carpet will last longer when it is cleaned properly on a regular basis!

FILTERQUEEN is unlike any other cleaning system available for your home. As you clean, it thoroughly removes damaging pollutants, helping prevent dust from resettling. The interior of your home is more fragile than you may realize – and it is worth preserving!

For more information about FILTERQUEEN's IAQS visit the product section of the site.
Eliminating the allergy risks could prevent asthma in more than 500,000 children in the United States, according to a new study in Pediatrics. The study underscores what scientists already suspect about the role environmental factors, such as cigarette smoke and pet dander, play in how asthma develops.

Helpful Hints & Tips

Dirt and dust are the main culprits when it comes to wear and tear inside your home. Hardwood floors slowly deteriorate as dirt grinds at the surface. The fibers in your furniture and carpets are gradually being destroyed by the razor-like dust that settles in and can’t get out.

Helpful Hints & Tips

Prescribed medications treat the symptoms of the allergies and asthma linked to indoor pollution. The FILTERQUEEN Indoor Air Quality System (IAQS), however, attacks the source of the problem by helping remove allergens from the air and surfaces in your home.

The FILTERQUEEN IAQS has a unique filtration ability that is specifically designed to remove harmful particles from your home. The filters in the system have been independently tested to remove 99.98% of particles at 0.1 micron. Also, the addition of activated charcoal helps to remove over 300 toxic gases and noxious odors that come from pets, cooking, and even cleaning products.

Here are some tips to help reduce harmful particles from your home….

Dust mites live in mattresses, pillows, carpets, fabric-covered furniture, bedcovers, clothes, and objects such as stuffed toys. Keeping dust mite populations low will improve the indoor air quality and help prevent allergic reactions. To reduce dust mites inside your home:

1. Replace feather and down pillows with synthetic-filled pillows.
2. Replace wool blankets with washable, nylon or cotton cellulose types.
3. Cover pillows, mattresses, and box springs with an impervious fabric.
4. At least once a month, wash all bedding in hot water.
5. Change sheets and pillow cases at least every seven days.
6. Use a cleaner with an effective filtration system and continuous airflow.
7. Use a portable, high-efficiency air purifier in each room.

Here are a few suggestions from the American Lung Association to help you maintain a healthy home:

1. Don’t smoke inside your home.
2. Keep humidity levels low with a dehumidifier or air conditioner, as needed.
3. Clean regularly to help keep dust mites and other allergens at a minimum. Wash bedding in hot water (at least 130°). Replace carpets with area rugs that may be washed often.
4. Check commercial cleaning products and pesticides for toxic ingredients. Keep your home well ventilated while using the products.
5. Never leave a car or lawn mower running in an attached garage. Avoid the use of unvented heaters.
